About this role:

The primary focus of a Business Development Consultant is to generate demand for jamsam solutions and services through a mix of inbound calls and outbound prospecting within an assigned territory or vertical.

 

Ability to demonstrate time management, product sales skills and knowledge of jamsam products and services (training provided). Goal oriented individual with superior communication skills. Ability to complete individual goals as well as work in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate using technical concepts. Desire for a long-term career in sales preferred. Two years relevant business experience preferred.

 

 

Experience/ Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required. The ideal candidate will have achieved excellence in their field of study, demonstrated by a high GPA
  • Must be a strong competitor with the internal desire to win
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and possess strong follow-up skills
  • Must have a high level of emotional intelligence (EQ), allowing you to make connections with candidates, clients, and prospective clients
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be skilled/proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, or their G-Suite equivalent

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Consulting with the Recruiting Operations Department, the Junior Consultant is responsible for researching, recruiting, and presenting candidates for positions that Spirit Consulting is retained on. You will specifically be responsible for:

  • Participating in-person or remotely in search kick off meetings to gather information about the search you’re assigned to
  • Contributing to the internal search strategy meetings by researching and presenting ideal organizations and talent to target, drafting or updating the client’s role description, and tracking candidate and prospective client information in the company database
  • Generating interest in the search pipeline by selling opportunities to prospective candidates or generating referrals, as well networking for new retainer opportunities
  • Interviewing and assessing candidates to establish qualifications and fit for clients
  • Scheduling candidates to interview with the client manager assigned to the search
  • Checking references and background information
  • Preparing candidate profiles on recommended candidates
  • Growing revenue of the organization by strategically positioning services at all decision-making levels throughout the search process
  • Building internal relationship with affiliate companies to maximize referral business
  • Assisting on any other operational projects as directed by an associate or consultant-level team member
