Job Description

As an Associate Project Manager (APM), you will act as a project lead of a product, process or technology project utilizing a cross-functional team and following BSC product development and product life cycle processes. These projects vary in size and scope but may include supporting Quality/Regulation driven project, supporting material or supplier change, executing product extension, executing value improvement project or product design enhancement. These are highly visible, complex projects necessary to maintain compliance and continuity of commercialized product, increase revenue, or improve margins. You will lead a cross-functional team of company professionals to evaluate, design, build, and implement solutions to support the project goals. Additionally, you will work collaboratively across various functions and regions to develop the individual project strategies and tactical plans to deliver results on time and in budget.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, coordinate and effectively lead project teams with good cross-functional communications and alignment to ensure timely completion of the project or task.
  • Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments.
  • Implement project plans, build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage and communicate project risks.
  • Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to drive execution of project deliverables and minimize risk.
  • Document project meeting minutes, issues log, decision log, metrics, and other key communications.
  • Manage individual project challenges and recommend solutions to address them.
  • Ensure current policies and practices are followed, and accurate documentation requirements are followed.
  • Identify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines.
  • Collaborate with a variety of functions, regions, and business resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Interact with senior personnel on complex matters requiring coordination between organizations.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Project Management, or Business.
  • 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Project management experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Project management experience managing project scope, schedule and budget, and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong cross-functional communication, team building, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Candidate must be comfortable communicating and/or presenting in front of all levels of the organization

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the medical products' industry, a plus
  • PMP® certification beneficial but not required
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%, including some international travel (post COVID-19)
